The Presley family has faced many challenges in recent years. After Lisa Marie Presley’s sudden passing on January 12, 2023, her loved ones not only dealt with grief but also legal matters concerning her estate.
However, 2023 also brought moments of joy — Lisa Marie’s twin daughters, Harper and Finley Lockwood, graduated from middle school.
Following Lisa Marie’s passing, the twins’ father, Michael Lockwood, was appointed as their legal guardian. Meanwhile, after some legal discussions, Riley became the sole trustee of Lisa Marie’s estate. Priscilla’s attorney later confirmed: “Everyone is happy, unified, together, and excited for the future.”
Lisa Marie’s estate, held in trust for Riley, Harper, and Finley, retains full ownership of Graceland Mansion and its 13-acre grounds. It also includes Elvis Presley’s personal belongings, such as his costumes, wardrobe, awards, furniture, and cars.
Priscilla addressed rumors of family disagreements, saying: “My January 2023 petition was misconstrued in the press as a ‘fight’ over my beloved daughter’s trust. That was not the intent… My daughter’s passing was both devastating and heartbreaking. We have learned that the fans realize that we are ‘Just A Family.’” She added, “Elvis would be proud, and his and Lisa’s wishes are what are most important to all of us.”
In any case, Finley and Harper’s graduation photo appears to show that any rifts existing among the Presley ranks are beginning to heal.
