Early Life

Millie Bobby Brown was born in Marbella, Spain, to British parents Kelly and Robert Brown. She is the third of four children. The family moved back to England when she was around four years old, later relocating to Orlando, Florida, in the United States. From a young age, Millie showed a natural inclination for performing, and her parents supported her pursuit of an acting career.

She was born with partial hearing loss in one ear, which gradually progressed to complete deafness in that ear. Despite this, she developed strong skills in performance, particularly in expressing emotion nonverbally—a skill that would later define her most iconic role.


Career Breakthrough

Millie began acting professionally in 2013, with small roles in TV series such as Once Upon a Time in Wonderland and NCIS. However, her breakout came in 2016 when she was cast as Eleven in the Netflix original series Stranger Things. Her performance as the mysterious, telekinetic girl won critical acclaim and made her an international star virtually overnight.
